Paper Veil
June 15th, 2010

We love weird and wonderful things and french designer Frederique Daubal has created something that fits the bill.
The series is called Hide and Seek, made by cut out magazine covers which resembles muslim niqābs.
It is a statement on identity and transformation.
World Cups coming
June 11th, 2010

We love this fun t-shirt design by Amsterdam-based creatives Bas Van De Poel and Daan Van Dam.
They have created these t-shirts in support of the dutch football federation for the 2010 world cup.
The idea is that when a player of the dutch team scores, t-shirt wearers can pull the front of their
shirts over their own faces, and become one of the players.

Rock n’ Roll furniture
June 7th, 2010

We’re always on the look out for quirky furniture and this is why we like work from italian company, Rocket.
These pieces draw from various musical forms such as guitars, equalizers to retro cassettes,
and simply mount them onto a wall and instantly get a rock n’ roll feel.
New bus on the block
June 6th, 2010

From the end of this year you will start seeing a new bus on the block.
Heatherwick Studios has redesigned the London double decker bus to encourage more people to use
public transport. The outcome looks very futuristic and modern. By placing windows across the staircase
it brings more daylight into the bus and offering views out over London. By incorporating an open platform
at its rear, the bus reinstates one of the much-loved features of the 1950s Routemaster which offered a
‘hop-on hop-off’ service. The new design will also have three doors and two staircases, making it quicker
and easier for passengers to board.
Pop-up Metro
June 5th, 2010

Ran-Bay has created a replica subway cart into a pop-up boutique store to promote their ‘Rare Print’ range, and we love it!
The summer graphics play on subway style maps and we especially love the sunglasses seating.

Edible Crayons
June 3rd, 2010

We all loved crayons when we were kids.. well even in adulthood, Funky food company Luxirare has created ‘Edible Crayons’.
They are hand-made health bars featuring colorful ingredients like freeze dried strawberries and raspberries
for red coloring, dried carrots and apricot for orange, kiwi and pistachio for green and almonds and prunes for brown.
The ingredients are pressed together in a mold and sealed with a sweet bond of melted marshmallow.
We also love the classic crayola packaging it comes in.
This sounds like a delightful treat or a nice gift for someone.
You’ll be in stitches
June 1st, 2010

We love the Isabel Berglund unusual artistic sculptures.
She creates objects and environments, by building wooden frames and wrapping knitted wool around them.
We do not envy her hand stitching all her work but we love that she’s quirky.
